Commemorating 150 Years of the Victoria Cross. This issue looks at the courage and heroism of six men who were awarded the medal specifically for 'Valour in the face of the enemy'. Queen Victoria herself was involved in the design of the medals, changing the wording from 'For Bravery' to 'For Valour'.

Consisting of seven stamps issued to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Victoria Cross. The stamps detail six of the most well known recipients of the award. The sheet also has seventh stamp, a 20p value taken from the Gallantry issue in 1990.

The mini-sheet was designed by Atelier Works, printed by Enschede in Litho, has PVA Gum and the stamps are perf 14.5 x 14. Stamp size is 41mm x 30mm. The mini-sheet measures 190mm x 67mm.
